Two clinics can quote wildly different prices for what looks like the same procedure—and the reason usually isn’t quality. It’s what’s included. Before you compare numbers, make sure you’re comparing the same thing.
1. Consultation & Diagnostics
Confirm whether your initial consultation, exams, scans, or lab work are included in the quoted price or billed separately. Some clinics quietly add these as extras once you’ve already committed.
2. The Procedure Itself
Ask exactly what’s covered: anesthesia, the surgical team, materials and implants used, and operating room fees. A quote that only covers ‘the surgeon’s time’ can leave you with a much larger final bill.
3. Aftercare & Follow-Up
Post-procedure medication, follow-up appointments, and any included revisions can add up quickly if they aren’t part of the original quote. Ask how many follow-up visits are covered, and for how long.
4. What’s Often Left Out
- Prescription medication after your procedure
- Compression garments, dressings, or specialized aftercare products
- Transportation between your hotel and the clinic
- Emergency or complication coverage
The rule of thumb: if a quote isn’t itemized in writing, ask for one that is. A clinic confident in its pricing will have no problem breaking it down for you.
